WHAT IS HABITAT FOR HUMANITYAND HOW DO THEY HELP FAMILIES IN MEDINA COUNTY?
Habitat for Humanity in Medina County, Ohio is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization building simple, decent, affordable housing in partnership with people in need. Habitat builds homes at reduced cost to families with limited incomes who are willing to contribute their own "sweat equity" in the building of homes for themselves and for others. Homes are sold with no-interest loans to families who show a desire to become homeowners by completing the Habitat partnership requirements.
WHAT FACTORS ARE NECESSARY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR HABITAT HOUSING?
HOW ARE PARTNER FAMILIES SELECTED?
The Habitat for Humanities Family Selection committee chooses homeowners based on their level of need, their willingness to become partners in the program and their ability to repay the loan. Habitat for Humanity of Medina County follows a nondiscriminatory policy of family selection. Neither race nor religion is a factor in choosing the families who receive Habitat houses.
