Habitat for Humanity of Medina County (HFHMC) was founded in April of 1991. Since our early beginnings we have worked diligently to provide adequate, affordable housing for Medina County residents in need. Partner Families put in many hours of sweat equity and then are able to buy their homes at cost. We also provide an interest free mortgage to the Partner Families.
Want to become involved?
There are many ways that you can become involved to "Build Hope" with HFHMC:
- Become a volunteer (18 years & older or 16 years if
accompanied by an adult)
- Volunteers are needed for all phases of construction, retail store
assistance, office work, and for registration at the work sites.
- Fill out a volunteer Information worksheet on our website http://www.
medinahabitat.org/ or call or write and we will send you one.
- Donate money and/or items to sell at our ReStore
- Our funding is from private donations and profits from our ReStore. The
ReStore sells discounted building materials, appliances and much more. We are located at 4930 Chippewa Road near Chippewa Lake and are open every Saturday from 8:00 - 4:00 PM. Please stop by.
The ReStore is open to the public.
- Collect Aluminum cans for Habitat
- We turn cans into cash with our "Cans for Habitat" program. Cans can
be dropped off in front of our ReStore at 4930 Chippewa Road near Chippewa Lake, Oh. If you know of a significant source for cans we can establish a pick-up schedule and supply collection boxes.
- Consider sponsoring a house
- A business or individual can sponsor an entire house or major portions
of one.
- Donate land. Do you have a building lot?
- We are in need of buildable lots with city water and sewer within Medina
County. If you are aware of any that can be donated or that are available at a reasonable price please let us know. The gifting of land can be very beneficial to Habitat and the donor.
Tax-deductible contributions can be made to:
